Spartakiad of universities in military-applied sports will be held in Voronezh


Next spring, the Voronezh Region will host the Spartakiad of the Russian Ministry of Defense Universities in military-applied sports for the fourth time. This was announced by the region's Sports Minister Pavel Chibisov.
The competition will be held in April 2026. The program includes boxing, combat sambo, army hand-to-hand combat, kettlebell snatch, military pentathlon, and shooting from standard or service weapons.
The tournaments are planned to be held at two sports facilities: the sports complex of the Kayaking and Canoeing Center and the Vasily Merkulov Sports Palace.
Students of defense universities will take part in the competition. Chibisov assured that the Voronezh Region will organize everything at the highest level.
