Rowing sports facility to be modernized in Chelyabinsk

A working meeting dedicated to the development of kayaking and canoeing took place at the Ministry of Sports of the Chelyabinsk Region.

The head of the ministry, Vladimir Ivanov, the head coach of the Russian national team, Kirill Shamshurin, and the chairman of the regional rowing federation, Vasily Rybakov, took part in it.

The participants of the meeting discussed the prospects for the development of rowing in the Chelyabinsk region, including the training of athletes. They also discussed the participation of South Ural rowers in major all-Russian and international competitions. In addition, the topic of modernizing the infrastructure to improve the training process was touched upon.

During the meeting it became known that the regional Ministry of Sports together with investors plans to complete the modernization of the rowing base in Chelyabinsk. This will create comfortable conditions for training and improve the level of athletes' training.

Kirill Shamshurin noted the importance of updating the material and technical base for training the sports reserve and achieving high results in competitions.
