Paris Saint-Germain striker Desire Douai has been named the Champions League final's best player. The 19-year-old Frenchman was a key figure in his club's 5-0 thrashing of Inter Milan, scoring two goals and providing an assist.

The young forward set several historic achievements at once. At the age of 19 years and 362 days, he became the youngest player to score a goal and an assist in the final of Europe's main club tournament. Douai also became the first footballer to record three goals in a decisive match of the Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain acquired the talented striker from Rennes in the summer of 2024 for 50 million euros. In just one season, Douai not only justified the club's investment, but also made football history.
