Major competitions will be held this season at the Labytnangi ski resort.

The Oktyabrsky Ski Resort, located in Labytnangi, is preparing to open for the 2025/2026 season. The city administration announced the competitions it will host.

The ski resort consistently attracts numerous visitors from both Labytnangi residents and visitors. Last season, it welcomed nearly 16,000 visitors, a 20% increase over the previous year.

This season, the complex will host stages of the Russian Snowboarding Cup, two Yamal snowboarding championships and tournaments in various disciplines, as well as the already popular Yamal entertainment events "Night in Oktyabrsky" and "Snow Fest."

In recent years, the ski resort has undergone a transformation. A modern modular building with cozy guest spaces has been built. The lift now has an electronic ski pass system, improving the comfort and safety of skiers.
