Khakassian cyber sportsmen won silver at the Russian championship for the first time

The final of the Sber Russian eSports Championship was held in Moscow on July 5 and 6. Eight of the country's strongest teams fought in the semi-finals in two types of programs - Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 (four in each), in which the participants of the final confrontations were determined.
"Khakassia was represented in the Dota 2 program by the 20Twice team - Ernest Naibauer, Nurislam Mukhametyarov, Ivan Zharkov, Ilya Pavinov and Matvey Kolchanov. In total, 71 Russian teams fought for a month and a half to reach the final in Dota 2," the Khakassia Ministry of Sports reported.
In Dota 2, the winners of the first game day were the 20Twice team and their rivals from Tambov – 4Pirates. The Siberians beat the Moscow team AFK30 with a score of 2:1. The Tambov team performed no less convincingly, beating another Moscow team Prime Time 2:0.
"Khakassia and Tambov met in the final. The score was 0:2. Our cyber athletes won silver in the championship and a prize of 500 thousand rubles," the ministry specified.
Let us add that the 4Pirates team was awarded one million rubles for first place, and the bronze medalists – AFK30 from Moscow – 250 thousand.
It should be noted that the Khakassian Republican branch of the All-Russian public organization "Russian Computer Sports Federation" received state accreditation from the Ministry of Sports of Khakassia in 2021, and its head is Denis Shpigalsky.
"This is a phenomenal success for Khakassia! Our team has achieved such a high result for the first time in history and made a real gift in honor of Cybersport Day, which is celebrated on July 7," Denis Shpigalsky, head of the republican branch of the All-Russian public organization "Russian Computer Sports Federation", commented on the success of the Khakassia team.
