Famous Serbian basketball player Dragan Labovic has died at the age of 38. The Serbian Basketball Federation reported the sad event without specifying the cause of death. The athlete's funeral will take place on May 12 in his hometown of Prokuplje.

Labovich is well known to Russian fans for his performances for Yenisei Krasnoyarsk, Krasnye Krylia Samara and Nizhny Novgorod in 2010-2013. As part of Krasnye Krylia, he achieved significant success, becoming the winner of the Russian Cup.

The basketball player's career was full of victories: two Serbian Cups, the Macedonian Cup, champion titles at the European Youth and Junior Championships. Labovic also represented the Serbian national team at the 2007 European Championship. The player finished his professional career in the Finnish club Nokia, where he played until 2019.
