Astrakhan handball players called up to Russian national team

4 Astrakhanochka players will take part in the national team training camp: Anastasia Ryabtseva, Anna Kainarova, Varvara Yuryeva and Ksenia Ilyina.

The national women's handball team will hold a training camp at the Novogorsk base near Moscow from March 3 to 8. The head coach of the Russian team, Lyudmila Bodnieva, has called up 21 handball players to the team, including 4 representatives of Astrakhanochka.
The national team includes goalkeeper Anastasia Ryabtseva, right winger Anna Kainarova, line player Varvara Yuryeva and playmaker Ksenia Ilyina. Also attending the training camp will be the head coach of Astrakhanochka Mikhail Izmailov, assistant to Lyudmila Bodnieva in the national team.
There are no test matches planned for the upcoming training camp; it will be entirely devoted to the training process.
