A mountaineer from Buryatia has climbed seven seven-thousanders in one season

During the summer season, Alexander Semenov conquered seven mountain peaks, each of which exceeded the 7,000-meter mark. This significant achievement was made possible by his second participation in the Snow Leopard program, which includes ascents to the highest peaks of the former USSR.
Alexander told about the new record on his social network page.
— It happened! NEW Record! The apogee of this season was planned to be a new route to Pobeda. But due to unplanned circumstances and later our fall in the helicopter, we had to cancel the exit, although the weather conditions on the wall were as never before suitable for this project.
The seventh ascent was to Khan Tengri on August 19.
— Towards the end of the season, beaten but still able to walk, I decided to go to Khan-Tengri. I went solo, alone on the mountain again, but now I am closing the entire season of summer ascents. I hiked my fill, from the first camp to the third and back, since I went out in a snowfall. I went fast and light, without rest, and went from the first camp to the summit in 17 hours 32 minutes. I believe that with the prepared tracks this time can be improved by six hours. And with the processed "bottle" another minus of at least three hours. As a result, I have 7 seven-thousanders and "Snow Leopard" in one season under my belt!

During this season, he climbed Lenin Peak twice, Korzhenevskaya Peak twice, and also Communism Peak, Pobeda Peak, and Khan-Tengri once each. Alexander Semenov gave a full list of his ascents this year:
June 25 Lenin Peak (5 days 6 nights from the plane),
July 2nd new route(!) to Lenin Peak (less than two days),
July 12th, Korzhenevskaya peak with 8 railings installed,
July 17th, Korzhenevskaya Peak with the hanging of 8 more ropes and in less than 1.5 days from base to base and the installation of the summit plaque,
July 24th Communism Peak solo in 5 days from base to base and installation of the summit plaque!
August 10, Pobeda Peak with participants and joint installation on the top of the tripod,
On August 19, Khan Tengri peak solo in 17 hours 32 minutes.
Let us recall that the title and badge “Conqueror of the Highest Mountains of the USSR”, the so-called “Snow Leopard”, are awarded to climbers who have successfully ascended the highest peaks located on the territory of the former Soviet Union.
