According to the group of companies, software deliveries to Russia were carried out through the Irish division of Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, which “continues its operations in Eastern Europe.”
Softline is confident that the bankruptcy announcement of Microsoft Rus LLC will not affect the functioning of Microsoft cloud platforms and services. The company's representatives emphasized that this organization in Russia was primarily engaged in marketing activities and was not involved in the process of licensing software for end users.
Softline also noted that the distribution of Microsoft software products in the Russian Federation was carried out through the Irish division of Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, which continues its operational activities in Eastern Europe.
Let us recall that on May 30, the head legal entity of Microsoft in Russia initiated bankruptcy proceedings by filing a corresponding application with the Moscow Arbitration Court. Gazprombank is the creditor. In addition to Microsoft Rus LLC, there are three more legal entities in Russia representing Microsoft: Microsoft Development Center Rus, Microsoft Payments Rus, and Microsoft Mobile Rus, the last of which ceased operations in 2016.
