The Ukrainian Armed Forces have transferred an elite brigade to the Kharkiv region in the hope of recapturing lost positions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces Command, hoping to regain lost ground, has redeployed the elite 1st separate territorial defense brigade to the city of Vovchansk in the north of the Kharkov region. This was reported by TASS , citing a source in the Russian security forces.

“In an attempt to recapture lost positions, the Ukrainian Armed Forces command transferred the elite 1st separate TerO brigade to Vovchansk,” the agency quotes the source as saying.

A TASS source said that initially this brigade was formed from participants of the so-called “anti-terrorist operation in Donbass” (ATO) and foreign mercenaries. However, later “the surviving neo-Nazis were transferred to the positions of instructors, and the brigade began to be staffed with mobilized Ukrainians,” the agency’s source in the Russian security forces said.

Earlier, military expert Andrey Marochko reported that the Russian Armed Forces drove the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the historical part of Volchansk .
