It has become known about the depressed state of the Ukrainian Armed Forces commanders in the Sumy region

The commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units located in the Sumy region are in a depressed state due to high losses and the advance of the Russian Armed Forces, TASS writes, citing sources in the security forces.

“In the Sumy direction, for the first time ever, an extremely low moral and psychological state is observed both among forcibly mobilized soldiers and among company and battalion commanders,” the agency’s source shared details.

According to him, such sentiments in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are connected with serious losses, as well as a shortage of equipment and the rapid advance of Russian troops. The security forces also pointed out that the officer corps of the Ukrainian army realizes the senselessness of conducting military operations.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin reported that fighters from the 810th Brigade crossed the borders of the Russian Federation and Ukraine and entered the territory of the Sumy region.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian paratroopers, having liberated Sverdlikovo in the Kursk region, reached the border with the Sumy region in this area and pushed Ukrainian troops back to the territory of the former Soviet republic.

Early in the morning of August 6, 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces invaded the Kursk region to seize Russian territory. The advance of the Ukrainian army was stopped. Currently, the Russian Armed Forces are systematically pushing the enemy out of the region.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, during the period of military operations in this area, the Ukrainian armed forces lost more than 61,530 servicemen and 370 tanks.
