Financial and Sechenov Universities to Launch Master's Degree Program in Healthcare Economics

The program will cover two areas of training - "Finance and Credit" and "Public Health". Sechenov University will train students in tracks related to public health, healthcare organization, information and communication technologies, and marketing. Lecturers from the Financial University will take on such aspects as public and corporate finance, healthcare economics, medical management, insurance, and public procurement. Graduates will also be able to continue their education in postgraduate studies, choosing an economic or medical scientific profile.
Applicants who have completed a bachelor's degree or other forms of training will be able to enroll in the master's program. The program involves joint participation of experts and professors from the two universities, as well as cooperation with a wide range of specialized organizations. According to the universities, this will provide graduates with broad employment opportunities.
Future graduates will be involved in improving the quality and availability of medical services, ensuring the implementation of scientifically based decisions in the field of public health and finance, and optimizing resource management in the medical field. After training, specialists will be able to work as analysts, financial managers, insurance company consultants, and managers in medical organizations.
In May 2025, the National University of Science and Technology MISIS announced the opening of the master's program "Organization and Management of Science-Intensive Production", which includes two tracks - "Organization and Management of Production in the Bioeconomy" and "Organization and Management of Smart Production". Students will gain knowledge on the legal regulation of the pharmaceutical market and the basics of the production of biotechnological drugs.
