Dmitriev: Reducing the key rate to 17% will open the way for new investments

The President's Special Representative responded to the Bank of Russia's decision
Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, Head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev responded to the decision of the Bank of Russia to reduce the base key rate to 17%.
In his Telegram channel, he said that this opens the way for new investments and allows the Russian economy to develop more dynamically. Dmitriev also expressed hope for a further reduction in the key rate.
Let us recall that the Bank of Russia has decided to further reduce the key rate by 1 percentage point. The regulator will maintain the tightness of monetary conditions necessary to return inflation to the target in 2026.
