At the end of the song, she shares that she wants a true partner. She even admits she thought she had found one before, but was proven wrong. Swift wrote The Life of a Showgirl while dating Kelce in the summer of 2024. The couple was reportedly seen house hunting in Ohio this summer, suggesting they might be on the way to making that driveway dream come true.

Shortly after Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August, a source told Us Weekly that the pair was already thinking about their next steps.

“They absolutely want a family,” the insider said. “Their dream is to have kids.” The source added they may “not wait too long” before pursuing that milestone, noting that “[Swift]’s in a great space in her career, and with her success, and she can take some time away.”

Kelce and Swift have kept most of their relationship private, especially during this year. In April, a source told Us Weekly that “Taylor and Travis have learned that so much attention on their relationship is not the best thing.” Last month, a source told People that they had already decided against having a public wedding.

They “want to keep [their celebration] more private,” the source said. “It will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle. They both have a close circle of friends, and they’ll respect their privacy.”
