Benny Blanco Had a Three-Word Reaction to Selena Gomez’s Stunning Black Dress
Selena Gomez attended the 2025 Disney Upfront in New York City yesterday, dressed in an elegant, fitted black dress from Thom Browne that featured structured shoulders. The look got her fiancé, Benny Blanco’s, attention. The music producer posted a candid message to Gomez on his Instagram Story, writing, “You are perfect.” In his second post, he shared a screenshot from their FaceTime call:

Gomez and Blanco are currently apart, as Gomez is in New York City filming the fifth season of Only Murders in the Building. She attended the Disney Upfront with her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Blanco is based in Los Angeles and spoke to multiple outlets about driving cross-country to see Gomez when she’s working on the East Coast.
During his ELLE Man interview for our May issue, Blanco was literally on the road. He confirmed his fear of flying, saying, “oh my God, I hate it. Terrifying. I’m in Dallas right now. I’m driving to New York from Los Angeles.”
During his recent On Purpose with Jay Shetty interview with Gomez, Blanco added that he takes “the boat to Europe. Oh my God, it’s so long. It’s like first you have to drive to New York and then you get on a boat for eight days, and you’re on the Titanic.”
Gomez told host Jay Shetty that when she and Blanco are long-distance, they regularly check in with each other.
“The biggest thing in the world is trust,” Gomez stressed. “I can say with all my heart that I trust this person. So for me, knowing that I have a 12- to 14-hour day on set, I won’t get to talk to him every second, which I don’t need.
“But I know just hearing from him one time, check in with me and say, ‘I love you, and I hope the day is going well,’ I just feel safe. And I’ve never felt that before. If you feel like you’re in a situation that doesn’t feel like you’re a unit, that makes it scarier and then that causes friction, then it causes trust issues. So for me, I would have to say communication and trust helps, but it doesn’t always work. It’s hard.”
