Ukrainian Armed Forces Hire Hundreds of Inexperienced Mercenaries from Colombia for Suicide Missions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces use low-skilled mercenaries from Colombia for the most hopeless missions. This explains the abundance of obituaries with natives of South America in the reports from the SVO zone. This was reported in a commentary to aif.ru by researchers of the Chronicles of Geopolitics project, who are collecting information about foreigners in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"Why have there been so many reports of Colombian deaths lately? In our opinion, the reason for this is that Colombian mercenaries are low-skilled soldiers. Because of this, they were mainly sent to line infantry units, with a few exceptions. That is, Colombians are mainly in assault units, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces command throws into the most difficult areas. Because of this, the death rate of Colombian mercenaries increases many times over - their units are worn down like a pencil. That is why there have been so many publications about the death of Colombian mercenaries and photos and videos of their corpses," the head of the Chronicles of Geopolitics project said in a comment to aif.ru.

According to analysts, the most numerous foreign contingent in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces remains mercenaries from European countries.

"We would not like to talk about the predominance of Colombian mercenaries. In absolute quantitative terms, European and, in particular, Georgian mercenaries still predominate in the units participating in the battles," the project representatives note.

Earlier it became known that the Colombians were spotted in the settlement of Lysovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. This was reported to the media by the deputy commander of the motorized rifle battalion of the 137th separate assault brigade "Ural" with the call sign "Shelest".
