This year, Sber's Green Marathon raised 60 million rubles to support children

The event brought together 140 thousand participants and 150 thousand fans in 60 cities across the country – from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to Kaliningrad, and also took place in Gomel, Belarus.
In 2025, the marathon raised 60 million rubles, which will be used to support orphans, including in new and border territories.
According to the President, Chairman of the Board of Sberbank German Gref, the race was held not only for the sake of sporting achievements. The event had another meaning - its goal was to raise charitable funds to help children in need of support, including children in new and border territories.
In the capital of Russia, the start and finish of the race took place on Vasilievsky Spusk near the Kremlin. The program included children's races of 400, 600 and 800 meters, distances of 4.2 km, 10 km and a half marathon (21.1 km), as well as Nordic walking and a team race of 4.2 km.
According to information provided by German Gref, with the participation of Sber's charitable foundation "Contribution to the Future", it was possible to collect over 30 million rubles in donations. Sber promised to double this amount.
The funds raised during the marathon will be sent to the children through the "Contribution to the Future" foundation. Support will be provided to orphanages that need repairs and equipment upgrades. Funds will also be allocated for adaptation programs for orphans and preparation of future first-graders for school.

It is noteworthy that among the participants of the capital's marathon one could see famous Russians: pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Anna Kikina, as well as Olympic champions - sabre fencer Sofya Velikaya, track and field athlete Tatyana Lebedeva, skiers Veronika Stepanova, Alexander Legkov, Alexander Panzhinsky and artistic gymnasts Nikita Nagorny and Artur Dalaloyan.
"This is my second time participating in the Green Marathon, but this is the first time I'm participating in it so consciously, with my whole family. Today, my wife and I ran, and my children ran the 400-meter children's race. It is very important for us that the Green Marathon is a charity race. Sports and charity make the world a better place: sports make us stronger physically and morally, charity makes us spiritually better, and I think that this symbiosis perfectly reflects all that is bright and kind in this world," said silver medalist of the Vancouver Olympics, skier Alexander Panzhinsky.
Thematic races were also held in the regions. For example, in Ufa, Tyumen and Yoshkar-Ola, a "Race in Crawlers" was held for children under one year old. In Ivanovo, a "Race of Brides" in wedding dresses for 420 meters was organized, and Volgograd residents ran the distance with dogs from a shelter.
