There are no more bets

The regional department of the Financial Monitoring Agency has uncovered the activities of a criminal group engaged in illegal gambling under the guise of a computer room. Operators accepted cash bets from participants via bank transfers, after which they registered on the platform, providing a login, password and link to access the games.

- As a result, the total criminal income of the group amounted to over 77 million tenge. During the investigation, it was established that the suspects used the illegally obtained funds to buy two cars worth a total of 36 million tenge, - the regional department of the AFM reported.

The court found the organizers guilty. They were sentenced to imprisonment from 5 to 8 years. The cars purchased with the proceeds of crime were confiscated.
