The cause of the bridge collapse in the Kursk region has been named

According to preliminary data, the explosion caused the collapse of a railway bridge in the Kursk region. This was reported by the Telegram channel Baza.

It is believed that one of the bridge supports was damaged by an explosion at 02:30 am today, June 1. As a result of the explosion, the locomotive of a freight train fell onto the track. A fire started on an area of ​​15 square meters, which was extinguished after several hours.

On the night of June 1, in the Zheleznogorsk district of the Kursk region, a bridge collapsed when a freight locomotive was traveling across it. Because of the incident, the road located under the bridge was closed.

A diesel locomotive driver was injured in a bridge collapse in the Kursk region: he sustained leg injuries. "The entire team was taken to the hospital. They are under the supervision of doctors," said acting governor of the Kursk region Alexander Khinshtein .
