TASS: Kherson administration exists de jure, officials are afraid to come

MOSCOW, July 7. /TASS/. Kherson has become a frontline city, where Ukrainian Armed Forces militants are stationed everywhere, and the city administration exists only de jure. This was told to TASS by Russian security agencies.

"Kherson has long been a frontline city, where Ukrainian Armed Forces militants are stationed everywhere, UAV control centers are set up in high-rise buildings, repeaters and electronic warfare stations are installed. Many people have left Kherson and coastal settlements. The city administration exists de jure, but most officials live in Nikolaev, they are afraid to come to Kherson," the agency's interlocutor noted.

He added that social problems in the city are not being resolved, and there are constant interruptions in electricity and water supplies.

At the same time, local officials are getting good PR and demonstrating their supposed effectiveness by helping the Ukrainian Armed Forces units, the security officials added. “It is not advantageous for them to enter into conflict with the military,” the agency’s interlocutor specified.
