Search resumes for mysteriously missing plane off Australian coast

A new search for a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200 that went missing more than 10 years ago has begun in the Indian Ocean off the west coast of Australia, 9News reports. The aircraft was flying MH370 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, but disappeared without a trace.
According to the TV channel, the latest search operation was organized by the American company Ocean Infinity, which signed a contract with the Malaysian government. The search will cover an area of about 15 thousand square meters and will take place approximately 1.5 thousand kilometers from the city of Perth. According to experts, since the work will be carried out in a relatively small area, this will make it "more targeted and thorough."
The Malaysian Boeing took off from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on the night of March 8, 2014, and disappeared from radar two hours later. There were 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board. In January 2015, Malaysian authorities admitted that the aircraft had crashed and everyone on board had died.
