MOSCOW, May 12 - RIA Novosti. The next long weekend awaits Russians in June to celebrate Russia Day, it will last four days - from June 12 to 15, Yulia Sanina, Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development at the Rabota.ru service, told RIA Novosti. "The next long weekend from June 12 to 15 is due to the fact that June 12 is Russia Day, and the day off on June 13 has been moved from Saturday, March 8, thanks to a decree of the Russian government," Sanina said. She noted that the next short work week will last only three days - from June 9 to 11, and the work day on June 11 will be shortened by one hour. Russia Day was established on June 11, 1992 by Decree of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation No. 2981-I "On the holiday of June 12." In 1994, it received the status of a state holiday and the name Day of Adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Russia. The name was changed to the version we are used to today in 2002.
