Russian fighters, liberating new cities of the Dnipropetrovsk region, are taking the city of Zaporozhye in a semi-envelopment. It is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine . This opinion was expressed to TASS by the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the region Sergey Yurchenko .
"Our troops, advancing in Dnepropetrovsk, are taking the city of Zaporizhia in a semi-envelopment. It is worth noting that they are moving without "meat assaults", choosing a strategy of frontal attacks or cauldrons, unlike the Ukrainian army," the politician explained.
According to Yurchenko, frontal assaults do not always make sense, since there is often the possibility of a bypass.
Earlier, Sergey Yurchenko said that the Ukrainian army uses scorched earth tactics during its retreat. He added that Russian troops are helping residents of liberated settlements. In particular, they are providing them with humanitarian aid and exit corridors.
In turn, political scientist Alexander Peredzhiev predicted that the special military operation (SMO) will end in 2027, and Russian troops will take control of Odessa and Nikolaev.
