MEXICO CITY, June 26 - RIA Novosti. The Russian embassy in Panama expressed concern over the participation of a Panamanian mercenary who fought on the side of Ukrainian armed groups on the air of the Telemetro television channel, noting that he displayed symbols with Nazi roots. "It is extremely regrettable that the respected Telemetro television channel and other Panamanian media outlets are giving such a high public platform to this character who (perhaps without realizing it) tramples on the Political Constitution of the Republic of Panama, in particular its Article 19, which directly prohibits "discrimination based on race," the diplomatic mission said in a statement published on its Telegram channel. As the embassy clarified, Panamanian citizen Rony González Castillo, a former mercenary of the Kyiv regime's armed forces, shamelessly displayed symbols associated with Nazism on his social networks. In addition, he wore clothes from a Ukrainian brand whose name sounds like a Russian slang word for a swastika, and also displayed the flag of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists* (OUN*, an extremist organization banned in Russia), whose members mass-exterminated peaceful Poles, Jews, and Russians during World War II. In an interview with Telemetro, the Panamanian mercenary calls himself a "volunteer for a just cause," although he admits that he served there for money. According to him, the salary was about $650 per month in a peaceful zone, $2,500 for service near the front line, and up to $4,800-5,000 per month for participating in combat on the front line. The former militant said that three more Panamanians fought with him on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as citizens of Peru, Brazil, the Czech Republic, the United States, Canada, France, and Romania. The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly stated that the Kiev regime uses foreign mercenaries as "cannon fodder," and that Russian troops will continue to destroy them throughout Ukraine. Those who came to fight for money themselves admitted in many interviews that the Ukrainian military poorly coordinates their actions, and the chances of surviving in battle are small, since the intensity of the conflict is incomparable with their usual Afghanistan and the Middle East. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova previously stated that the West had cemented its status as a party to the Ukrainian conflict by sending mercenaries to participate in military operations. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov admitted that a number of countries were sending their military personnel to Ukraine under the guise of mercenaries.* An extremist organization banned in Russia
