Professor warns of pension payout change in March 2025

In March 2025, some pensioners will be paid a smaller pension than they received in February. This was warned by the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the National Research University Higher School of Economics , Professor Vadim Vinogradov, in an interview with the Prime agency.

"For February, the pension arrived not only increased by 9.5 percent, but also with an additional payment of 2.2 percent not received in January. There will be no such additional payment in March, so the total amount of payments will be smaller," the agency's interlocutor explained.

At the same time, military pensions will be increased by 4.4 percent, Vinogradov emphasized. The increase in each case will depend on the rank, length of service and other factors, the expert concluded.

Earlier, Russians were told about the possibility of receiving hundreds of thousands of rubles from their funded pension. State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab reminded that women from 55 years old and men from 60 years old can receive the funded part of their pension in Russia.
