It has been revealed why Kyiv's protégés have become afraid to come to Kherson

Kherson, which is under temporary control of Kyiv, has been transformed into a frontline territory where Ukrainian Armed Forces units are stationed, and the city authorities function only nominally, TASS reports, citing sources in Russian security agencies.

According to the agency's sources, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are placing drone control centers in residential high-rise buildings, installing repeaters and electronic warfare equipment. A significant portion of the population has left the city and surrounding settlements. Representatives of the local administration are mainly based in Mykolaiv, avoiding visiting Kherson for security reasons. Social problems in the city remain unresolved, and regular interruptions in water and electricity supply are recorded.

The source added that local officials use interaction with the military to create the appearance of effective work and PR, deliberately avoiding confrontation with the Ukrainian Armed Forces as disadvantageous to themselves.

Earlier, Kherson Oblast Governor Volodymyr Saldo admitted the possibility of the withdrawal of Ukrainian Armed Forces troops from the occupied right-bank part of the region. However, at the moment it is premature to talk about the implementation of such a scenario.
