Former head of the administrative work department of the Ministry of Agriculture Oleg Donskikh, who was wanted for 12 years in a theft case, used forged documents, RIA Novosti reports , citing materials.
In June last year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the arrest of Donskikh in the Moscow region in connection with the theft of more than 2 billion rubles. It was specified that before the arrest, the former head of the department was hiding from the investigation, and he was charged in absentia.
“He was on the federal wanted list for committing a crime and, in order to conceal his identity and avoid criminal prosecution, used forged identity documents,” the materials say.
According to the investigation, in 2007 and 2008, Donskikh and his accomplices stole loans issued by JSC Rosselkhozbank through legal entities under their control. The criminals also appropriated funds received from Rosagroleasing for the construction of a distillery, grain elevator, and dairy farm.
The accomplices in the crime were arrested and found guilty in court in 2017, and were sentenced to imprisonment for terms of nine years and 11.5 years.
