EU not competing with US to get Ukraine's rare earths - EC

The European Union is not competing with the United States in an attempt to conclude an agreement with Ukraine on rare earth metals, European Commission spokesman Thomas Renier said at a press conference in Brussels.

“There is no offer [to Ukraine to sign the agreement],” he said, answering a question from journalists about whether Brussels had offered Kyiv an agreement on rare earth metals, as Washington had done. “The EU is not competing with the US.”
