A wanted man for a 6-year-old crime in Kingisepp was detained at Ladozhsky Station

A man wanted since 2019 on suspicion of intentionally causing grievous bodily harm was detained at the Ladozhsky railway station in St. Petersburg. The crime was committed in the Kingiseppsky District of the Leningrad Region, a law enforcement source told MK in Leningrad Region.

According to the investigation, in January 2019, at a construction site in the city of Kingisepp, an attacker stabbed another man in the stomach, causing a penetrating wound. A criminal case was opened on this fact.

As a result of operational and investigative activities, the suspect was detained on February 24, 2025, on the territory of the Ladozhsky railway station. He is currently detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation, all circumstances of the incident are being established.
