A passenger on a derailed train tells about the first minutes of the incident

In the first minutes of the bridge collapse and accident in the Bryansk region, the train passengers did not understand what had happened. In panic, people abandoned their personal belongings and food. A passenger on the damaged train told REN TV about this.

"Two supports fell on the locomotive, the first car fell completely, the second car turned over. The third one was also a collision, ours was the fourth," the woman shared. According to her, all passengers from the first to the tenth car had the same injuries. "The guys, of course, those drivers, died. The truck was lying there on top of them," the passenger added.

She said that at first the passengers could not understand what had happened - they assumed that it was the brakes or the emergency brake. Then, when people began to get out of the damaged train, everyone helped each other.

The bridge collapsed on a passenger train on the evening of May 31. There are 69 known victims. Three of them are in serious condition, including one child.
