He noted that after the recent talks in Riyadh, the next step will be to meet with Russian representatives again, and it will be important to assemble a team of specialists suitable for this purpose.
"We haven't discussed what those conditions are. So the next step is to meet with them again at some point, with the right people, and begin to define what it will take from Russia to end the conflict ," Rubio said .
According to Marco Rubio, in recent talks, Russian representatives made it clear that Moscow is interested in resolving the conflict in Ukraine "on the right terms." The US Secretary of State also noted that President Donald Trump would like to see the conflict end as soon as possible, even "yesterday."
Rubio stressed that no matter how long the process might take — days or weeks — they are ready to begin. However, he also added that there is a chance that these efforts may not lead to any results.
