Two games shook up the first day of the second phase of the Brasileirão series C

The first round of the second phase of the Brazilian Championship Series C began this Saturday (September 6th). Two matches shook up the competition. The matches scheduled for the same time had completely different plots, while São Bernardo and Londrina drew 2-2. Ponte Preta beat their rival Guarani 1-0 away from home.
Saint Bernard and LondrinaThe match between Tigre and Tubarão was lively from the start, with the visitors showing great intensity during the first 15 minutes. So much so that, in the fifth minute, Yago Teles opened the scoring, following a cross from Cristiano from the right. The striker only had to put it past the goalkeeper.
Playing at home and trailing, São Bernardo launched an attack but struggled against counterattacks from the Paraná team. In the 17th minute, the home team scored, but VAR ruled the goal out for offside. Despite balancing the match from the 30th minute onwards, Tigre conceded a second goal in stoppage time. Augusto scored an own goal after Cristiano's shot.
Before that, São Bernardo had a potential penalty in their favor, which, after review by VAR and the on-field referee on the monitor, ruled that the ball first touched the Londrina player's thigh. After the break, Tigre had already recovered, after a corner kick hit the post, Eliel deflected it into the back of the net. To seal the score, in the 21st minute of the second half, Victor Andrade equalized, making the final score 2-2.
Guarani and Ponte PretaIn the backcountry derby, Guarani hosted Ponte Preta at Brinco de Ouro and struggled, even playing at home. Guarani made several poor passes, giving the Macaca the opportunity to take the lead. In the 17th minute, the visitors scored, but the goal was ruled out for offside by a VAR check.
Undeterred by their pursuit of the three points, Ponte Preta continued to attack, following a throw-in and a play worked on the right flank. The cross came only for Jonas Toró to make it 1-0 in the 44th minute of the first half.
In the second half, nothing changed, Guarani continued to make mistakes in defense, unable to scare the opponent, and saw their goalkeeper perform miracles to hold on to the 1-0 lead. While Ponte wasted clear chances to apply the score.
In the next round, while Bugre goes to Recife to face Náutico trying to get three points, Macaca welcomes Brusque at home, looking for their second consecutive victory in this phase.
