Tragedy in Piauí: Player dies in motorcycle accident after colliding with cow

Young striker Antony Ylano, 20, died in the early hours of Monday (20/10), after a tragic motorcycle accident on BR-343, in Altos, in the interior of Piauí. According to information from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the collision occurred around 3:15 am at km 307 of the highway, when Antony collided with a cow that was on the road.
Ylano did not have a driver's license and died at the scene. Security camera footage captured the moment of impact.
According to reports from friends, the athlete was returning from celebrating his father's birthday. He was preparing to travel this Tuesday (21) to Fortaleza, where he would represent Piauí Esporte Clube in the Under-20 Brazil Cup.
Having played for Altos Esporte Clube, the young man was a Piauí under-20 champion and had previously competed in competitions such as the São Paulo Junior Football Cup (Copinha) and the Northeast Under-20 Cup. In an official statement, Piauí EC deeply mourned the loss and suspended all activities for the day in honor of the athlete.
