Palmeiras has already arrived in Quito. The green and white delegation landed on Tuesday night (21), in the Ecuadorian capital, to face LDU, next Thursday (23), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), for the first leg of the Libertadores semifinal. Thus, Verdão began adapting to the altitude of 2,850 meters.

The decision to arrive early in the Ecuadorian capital is intended to acclimate to the effects of the altitude. Therefore, Verdão will carry out an activity this Wednesday (22), at the Ecuadorian national team's training center, to get used to the speed of the ball and the thin air.

Palmeiras will be without goalkeeper Weverton, midfielder Lucas Evangelista and forward Paulinho. The trio remained in São Paulo undergoing treatment for injuries. Therefore, Alviverde has no new absences due to injury or suspension, compared to those listed for the game against Flamengo , on Sunday (19).

Coach Abel Ferreira is expected to repeat the lineup that lost to Flamengo in the Brasileirão. The only question mark is defense. After all, the Portuguese coach believes that, given the match's characteristics, Murilo may be a better option than Bruno Fuchs. On the other hand, LDU is banking on home advantage and has already sold all 30,000 available tickets.
