After the end of the FIFA Date, Palmeiras and Internacional face each other this Saturday (13/9), at 6:30 pm, at Allianz Parque, in a duel valid for the Brazilian Championship. Verdão continues its hunt for the leader Flamengo and the top of the table and, to continue climbing, defends the taboo of never having lost to Colorado in its stadium.

The first meeting between the teams at Allianz Parque took place on June 4, 2015, with a 1-1 draw. Since then, there have been nine matches at the São Paulo stadium, with Palmeiras winning seven and drawing two.

Now, Allianz, Verdão also got the better of it on two occasions, at Pacaembu Stadium, in 2018 and 2023. Inter's last triumph in São Paulo was in 2024, when they won 1-0 with a goal from former Palmeiras player Wesley, but the clash took place at Arena Barueri.

This season, the clubs met in the fourth round of the Brasileirão at Beira-Rio Stadium. Verdão won 1-0, with a goal from Facundo Torres.

Palmeiras currently sits in third place with 43 points from 20 games. Internacional, on the other hand, has 27 points from 21 matches, sitting in tenth place. This Saturday's match is an opportunity for Verdão to maintain its historic unbeaten streak at the Allianz and for Colorado to try to break its winless streak away from home.
