Lourosa plays with Resende in Rebordosa

The Azevido Sports Complex, home of Rebordosa Atlético Clube, will be the venue where Lusitânia de Lourosa will host, next Sunday, at 3 pm, the Resende team (Portuguese Championship) in a third round match of the Portuguese Cup. «Lusitânia de Lourosa Futebol Clube, SAD, expresses its enormous gratitude to Rebordosa Atlético Clube, in the person of its president, Joaquim Barbosa, for the opening, collaboration and availability of the sports venue», announced yesterday the Santa Maria club, which has its stadium undergoing renovation works in order to meet the requirements to host II League matches. It's worth noting that Lourosa is one of seven clubs from the region seeking promotion to the fourth round of Portugal's premier football competition. This round kicks off on Friday with Desportivo de Chaves vs. Benfica and continues on Saturday. On that day, Sporting de Espinho, which plays in the Aveiro district, hosts top-tier Santa Clara (3 p.m.) in Nogueira da Regedoura. Another Liga I team will also be in action in the region on Saturday, as São João de Ver (Liga 3) will host Famalicão. Later that afternoon, Oliveirense will play at 3 p.m. at Torreense, in a clash between Liga II teams.
On Sunday, the highlight will be the home match between Campeonato de Portugal's União de Lamas and the historic Vitória de Guimarães of the first division. Arouca has a difficult trip to Portimonense, of the II Liga, and Anadia hosts Marinhense, a match that will pit two Campeonato de Portugal teams against each other.
