Sporting announced this Friday the renewals of Kiko Costa, Martim Costa and Salvador Salvador. The Portuguese internationals, key players in the Lions' handball team, will thus be tied to the Alvalade club until 2030.
"The three front-row players, all internationals for Portugal, have remained with the Lions until 2030, ensuring, together with their colleagues who will also continue to wear green and white, the future of the squad that has dominated domestic competitions and shone in Europe", reads the official statement from Sporting.
Captain Salvador Salvador did not hide his pride in everything he has "experienced so far at the club": "If someone had told me that this would be the story the first time I stepped foot in Multidesportivo, I wouldn't have believed it. Everything was planned, things were going as well as they could and now a big step has come. Renewing with Sporting was an easy decision and I am extremely happy", he admitted.
Along the same lines, brothers Kiko and Martim Costa also highlighted the path they have been following with the lion on their chest.
"Signing for Sporting was the best decision of my life and I hope to continue working to bring joy to the fans," said Martim. "May they always remember me at this great club, for which I have given so much and will continue to give so much," added Kiko.
