Confrontation between police and Guarani fans leaves people injured at Brinco de Ouro; watch the videos

Military Police officers and Guarani fans were injured after a fight that lasted about seven minutes in the stands of Brinco de Ouro, during the classic between Bugre and Ponte Preta , in the first round of the Série C quadrangular, on the afternoon of this Saturday (06). The match was played with a single crowd.
According to police reports, members of the home team's organized fan groups encountered a Macaca fan who had infiltrated the area. He was then fearful of being attacked and jumped into the moat to escape.
During the fight, police officers tried to intervene to contain the situation, but were surrounded by fans. One of the officers was injured after falling and hitting his head, knocking him unconscious.
In addition, a police officer was also attacked by several fans, who were masked, as were other police officers, who suffered minor injuries.
In the confusion, the man who attacked the police officer was arrested.
On the field, Ponte Preta beat Guarani, with a goal from Jonas Toró, in the 44th minute of the first half.
Captain Bonato, of the 1st Special Police Actions Battalion (BAEP) of Campinas, commented on the situation:
" One of the Fúria fans attacked a female police officer with a flying kick. She injured her wrist, her elbow, and has a dislocated shoulder. From then on, a general fight broke out between fans and the patrol. When this individual was detained, others (fans) tried to prevent him from being arrested. He (the attacker) was injured and taken to the hospital, apparently with a leg injury ," said the police officer.
The Captain also reported on the health status of the police officer who hit his head:
" Our police officer in this nation, unfortunately, suffered a concussion to the head, his condition is sensitive, he is stable, but he is now undergoing tests ," he reported.

" This afternoon, during the match between Guarani and Ponte Preta, which took place in Campinas, serious episodes of violence involving fans were recorded.
According to preliminary information, members of Guarani's organized fan groups identified Ponte Preta fans infiltrating their section. They then began physical attacks that put the lives of those involved at risk.
The Military Police intervened to ensure security and contain the situation. However, the officers were surrounded by hundreds of fans, who began to violently attack them. In the criminal action, one officer was seriously injured after falling and hitting his head, knocking him unconscious. A female police officer was also attacked by dozens of individuals disguised as fans. Two other military police officers suffered minor injuries.
The investigation into possible fans injured during the clashes is still ongoing. Following the prompt response of the Military Police, order was restored to the stadium.
One of the criminals who attacked the police officers was arrested and is being presented at the police station to answer for his actions before the courts.
The Military Police emphasizes that such episodes do not represent the spirit of the sport and will be rigorously investigated in order to identify and hold those involved accountable.
