Club League confirms Oliveirense in the II League
The Oliveira de Azeméis club will continue to compete in the second professional championship after Boavista's exclusion

The Portuguese Professional Football League today officially announced Oliveirense as Boavista's replacement in the II League, after excluding the 'axadrezados' from professional competitions and accepting the candidacy presented by the club from Oliveira de Azeméis, Aveiro. Oliveirense, which had been relegated to League 3 after finishing in 17th place in the second tier last season, received the 'green light' from the League of Clubs Audit Committee and will remain in League II, according to the statement published on the League of Clubs' official website. This confirmation comes on the same day that Oliveirense announced the hiring of coach Jorge Pinto to lead the team. The new coach, aged 47, is making his debut in professional football competitions, after having been in charge of Fafe until April last season.

Jorge Pinto, who succeeds António Campos, has coached teams such as Amarante, Lusitânia de Lourosa, Salgueiros and Infesta, and left a short message to fans, ensuring that his objective is to “unite the club with the fans and the city”.
