A product from Poland attracts attention at the trade fair in Berlin

The IFA trade show in Berlin is the world's largest event for home and consumer technology . The name of the event, which has been held for almost 100 years, comes from the Internationale Funkausstellung, meaning International Radio Exhibition, but today you can see much more than just radios. A full range of consumer electronics products is on display: from household appliances and televisions to mobile phones and robots . From Friday, September 5th, to Tuesday, September 9th, a total of 1,900 exhibitors from around the world will be present in the halls of the Berlin Trade Fair (Messe Berlin). Product presentations are accompanied by debates about trends that will shape the daily lives of millions of people.
A heat pump dryer saves a lot of electricityAmong the exhibitors, in the first of several dozen pavilions, is Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte , a global company based in Munich, which has as many as six plants in Poland and is expanding its production capacity by moving the production of small household appliances in Rzeszów to a larger facility .
The new Bosch Series 8 clothes dryer is generating significant interest in Berlin . This heat-pump dryer was developed and manufactured in Łódź . It uses up to 78% less energy than traditional models and, thanks to Air Max Dry and Cool Dry technologies, dries clothes effectively at lower temperatures, protecting fabrics. It also features a self-cleaning condenser, a wool program, and is integrated with the Home Connect app.
The new Serie 8 washing machine can also be seen in Berlin. It has an 11 kg capacity, is 20 percent more energy-efficient than class A, and, thanks to the i-Dos system with detergent scanning, automatically selects the optimal amount of detergent and water.
Bosch robot vacuum cleaners are also being showcased at IFA, including the Bosch Spotless, which features a Carbon Power Brush with carbon and synthetic fibers. There are as many as 600,000 carbon fiber brushes.
Meanwhile, the Siemens stand's main attraction is the world's first steam drawer with a handleless, 14-centimeter glass front. This connected appliance can be combined with an oven or mounted in a standard drawer recess, for example, under a countertop.
Home appliances with internet access and an oven from 1926Generally, a common feature of the home appliances presented at IFA is connectivity, meaning the ability to communicate with others online. They are also characterized by the environmental commitment declared by their manufacturers . These two aspects are combined by one of Siemens' dishwashers (smartStart), which, by obtaining data on electricity production from the network, can turn on itself when the electricity is at its greenest. If the home has solar panels, it will take advantage of the moment when it's more profitable to use the electricity locally rather than feeding it into the grid.
The trade fair, which showcases the latest trends in the home appliance market, also pays tribute to the past. Here, you can see the first Siemens electric oven, dating back to 1926. At the time, it was a technological sensation that set new standards and forever changed everyday life at home.
