Local elections: Rui Pires is the CDU candidate for the Estoi Parish Assembly

The CDU – Coligação Democrática Unitária – PCP-PEV , with a commitment to progress, improving living conditions and the well-being of the population, presented, on Friday, July 11, in a festive atmosphere with more than 200 people, its candidates for the next local elections for the Parish Assembly of Estoi, municipality of Faro.
"The team, led by Rui Pires, is made up of dedicated people with deep roots in the parish, who share a common vision for a more prosperous, inclusive, and dynamic future for Estoi," reads the press release.
"The presentation of the candidates for the Estoi Parish Assembly represents an important milestone, underlining the CDU's determination to serve the interests of the local population, resolve their problems and improve their quality of life," according to the same document.
"The people of our parish are stretched to their limits. Nothing is working: The elderly are forgotten, young people have no support in cultural and sports, and urban maintenance is a disaster," says Rui Pires, first candidate for the Estoi Parish Assembly.
"The Estoi Palace Gardens have been abandoned by the current Parish Council executive management, while a hotel group makes profits from a space that belongs to all of us," the candidate added.
Rui Pires also stated that "the housing problem has no solution in sight, public transport is almost non-existent", also highlighting as problems "the lack of road safety, the lack of parking and poor signage".
He concludes, confidently, that "we will turn this around. Our team has the knowledge and strategy necessary to put Estoi back on the map."
