Israel creates humanitarian zone south of Khan Yunis

The Israel Defense Forces announced a new humanitarian area in the Muwasi area of Khan Younis, a southern city in the Gaza Strip.
According to a statement cited by Haaretz , the designated space includes “essential humanitarian infrastructure such as field hospitals, water pipelines and desalination facilities,” also promising “continuous supply of food, tents, medicines and medical equipment” in the area.

The creation of this zone comes as operations in Gaza City begin to intensify, prompting the IDF's Arabic-language spokesman, Avichay Adraee, to urge residents "not to listen to Hamas's allegations."
"Take this opportunity to move to the humanitarian zone as soon as possible and join the thousands who have already moved there in recent days and weeks," he adds.
