Accident leaves one dead and cuts off the A25 in Oliveira de Frades

One person died this Monday following an accident on the A25 motorway, which is closed in the Viseu - Aveiro direction, in the Oliveira de Frades area, a source from Civil Protection reported.

According to a source from the Viseu Dão Lafões Sub-regional Command, it was a road collision involving two heavy goods vehicles, a light vehicle and a motorcycle.

The fatal victim resulting from the accident — recorded at 8:16 am, at kilometer 50.6 — was the driver of the motorcycle.

The road collision also resulted in a minor injury, who was still being treated at the scene at around 9:30 am.

The accident is mobilizing 13 vehicles and 30 operators, with no forecast for reopening the road.
