Keanu Reeves Has Best Response to Alexandra Grant Marriage Rumors

Keanu Reeves has had some good fortune when it comes to his love life.
So much so that he and girlfriend Alexandra Grant even sparked marriage rumors last month, though she was quick to clarify on social media that the couple hasn't made it down the aisle. Still, the Matrix star admitted the speculation didn’t bother him too much.
“Well, that wasn't the first time,” Keanu quipped in an exclusive interview with E! News Oct. 13 at the New York City premiere of his new movie Good Fortune. “We've been going out for a long time.”
The 61-year-old also praised Alexandra—who he started dating in 2018—for the Instagram post she shared to quell the rumors.
“The wedding, it's a nice thing,” he continued. “People did a lot of nice messages and stuff, but Alexandra just did a wonderful [job] addressing. Like, ‘Thank you, but here's the reality.’”
Indeed, the visual artist had some fun when letting the world know that she and the John Wick actor had not, in fact, gotten married.
“This is a real photo,” Alexandra, 52, wrote on Instagram Sept. 24 alongside a picture of the pair kissing at an art installation. “Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement... simply a kiss!”
She continued, “I'm sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married. Good news is much needed these days, but it's still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here's a bit of real happiness!”
While Keanu and Alexandra have not tied the knot, their relationship is as strong as ever. After all, they have shared a recent string of fun-filled date nights, including at the premiere of Good Fortune—out in theaters Oct. 17—as well as the opening night of Jamie Lloyd’s Broadway production of Waiting for Godot Sept. 28, where they stepped out smiling on the red carpet.
And, earlier in the month, Alexandra celebrated his birthday with a heartwarming message.
“Thank you to everyone for sending over sweet wishes for Keanu's birthday yesterday... he was well-celebrated!” she wrote on Instagram Sept. 3 alongside a picture of a heart-shaped cake with his name on it. “To Keanu—who saw this post as a draft!—I am so grateful for your love and partnership.”
