This Wednesday (23), influencer Flora Cruz , 22, came out to deny the rumors that circulated on social media about the alleged death of her father, samba singer Arlindo Cruz , 66. The artist, who lives with serious after-effects of a hemorrhagic stroke suffered in 2017, remains hospitalized at Barra D'Or Hospital, in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio de Janeiro.
"Everything is fine. My father is alive, these people are very annoying. When something happens, we will post it on social media. He is hospitalized at Barra D'Or, with no new symptoms, zero bacteria, vital signs are ok, he is awake," Flora told Quem magazine.
The young woman, who is the singer's daughter with Babi Cruz , also expressed outrage at the frequency of rumors surrounding Arlindo's health. She highlights the emotional toll these rumors take on the family.
"We have complete respect and affection for our fans. There's no reason for us to hide anything. It's surreal. And for us, the family, it's exhausting. I'm working, I have a small child. The psychological toll is enormous. It's very painful, sad. He's a global idol, but he's my father, he's Arlindinho's father, he's my mother's husband, he has a family. We've been dealing with this pain for eight years. I'm exhausted," she said.
