Wall Street opens aimlessly

New York opened the session without a clear direction, with investors excited about a possible interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve at its next meeting.
The US producer price index fell 0.1% in August, while analysts had predicted a 0.3% increase.
The Dow Jones was the only index to record losses at the start of the session, falling 0.10% to 45,665.09 points. The S&P 500 gained 0.45% to 6,542.62 points, and the Nasdaq rose 0.36% to 21,958.12 points.
Oracle surged 38.91%, followed by Nvidia, which rose 4.16%. Chevron rose 1.12%, Nike gained 1.109%, Caterpillar increased 0.69%, and 3M advanced 0.53%. Countercyclically, Amazon lost 2.30%, Apple fell 1.86%, UnitedHealth fell 0.83%, McDonald's slipped 1.64%, and P&G slipped 1.09%.
In the oil market, Texas-based WTI gained 0.78%, setting the price per barrel at $63.13, and Brent rose 0.81% to $66.93. Natural gas lost 2.05% to $3.053.
In the foreign exchange market, the euro appreciated 0.09% against the dollar, settling at 1.1722 dollars.
