Wall Street ends session in positive territory with investors eyeing Nvidia's results

The New York Stock Exchange closed this Wednesday's session in positive territory with slight gains.
Thus, the Dow Jones gained 0.32% to 45,565.05 points, the S&P 500 added 0.21% to 6,479.76 points, and the technological Nasdaq appreciated 0.21% to 21,590.14 points.
Wall Street closed higher on Wednesday in a market focused on Nvidia's earnings . This was without losing sight of Donald Trump's latest attack on the Federal Reserve (Fed) , following the resignation of Governor Lisa Cook, which increases pressure on central bank Chairman Jerome Powell . During the session, the S&P 500 reached new highs.
"Donald Trump has been outspoken about his views on the US central bank's policy decisions , but so far it's been mostly lip service," explains Danni Hewson, director of financial analysis at AJ Bell.
"The decision to fire Lisa Cook, even if overturned by the courts, feels like a new chapter in this political thriller that really raises the temperature of simmering concerns about the Fed's future independence ," he adds.
