Verification increases security

Summer is the perfect time for vacations, which means more car traffic. And year after year, the image of cars parked on the side of the road under the blazing sun is a recurring theme. To avoid these situations and ensure everyone's safety on the road, vehicle specialist Euromaster recommends checking "eight essential components before traveling."
Tires: Tires are the only elements in contact with the asphalt, so “it is essential to check that the tread depth is at least 1.6 mm — in accordance with legislation” — and that “the tire pressure levels are adequate, as specified by each manufacturer”.
Oil: "Oil reduces engine wear and prevents costly breakdowns." Therefore, "it's a good idea to check the oil level and change it when necessary, along with the filter."
Brakes and pads : "Brake fluid must be at the correct level and in good condition to ensure safe braking. It is recommended to change it every two years to prevent corrosion and loss of braking efficiency." You should also replace your brake pads regularly, "to prevent damage to the discs and reduce the risk of accidents."
Shock absorbers: "This component maintains the vehicle's stability and directly affects vehicle control. A damaged shock absorber can also affect the effectiveness of the brakes and steering, compromising driving safety."
Coolant : Ensuring that the coolant is in good condition “helps prevent engine overheating and possible engine failure.”
Windshield Wipers : "Good visibility is essential, especially in summer when storms can suddenly appear, or when clearing the windshield of dust. Checking and replacing your wiper blades and topping up your windshield washer fluid ensures clear vision at all times."
Headlights: “Properly functioning headlights allow the driver to see and their vehicle to be seen, reducing risks in conditions of low or poor visibility, especially at night or in adverse weather conditions.”
Battery: "A battery in good condition ensures a smooth engine start and proper functioning of the entire electrical system. It is recommended to check it at least once a year, as its useful life is, on average, five years."
