Lula met with Alckmin, Haddad, Gleisi, Fávaro, Sidônio and Jaques this Sunday

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva met with ministers this Sunday (13) at the Palácio da Alvorada to discuss the government's reaction to the warning from the President of the United States, Donald Trump, that he will tax Brazilian products by 50% from August 1st.
Earlier, Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services Geraldo Alckmin said in São Paulo that the regulation of the so-called Reciprocity Law should be published by decree by Tuesday, the 15th. The legislation, approved by the National Congress, authorizes Brazil to adopt tariff and non-tariff measures against countries that impose barriers to Brazilian exports.
In addition to Alckmin, ministers Fernando Haddad (Finance), Gleisi Hoffmann (Secretary of Institutional Relations), Carlos Fávaro (Agriculture and Livestock) and Sidônio Palmeira (Secretary of Social Communication) were at the Alvorada Palace, in addition to the government leader in the Senate, Jaques Wagner (PT-BA).
