Sinner in Wimbledon Round of 16 for 4th consecutive year

World number one Jannik Sinner qualified for the round of 16 at Wimbledon on Saturday with an easy three-set victory over Spanish tennis player Pedro Martínez in the third round of the third Grand Slam of the season.

The Italian advanced for the fourth consecutive year to the 'round of 16' on the London grass of the All England Club, where his best result was the semi-finals in 2023, beating the 52nd ranked player in the ATP rankings with partials of 6-1, 6-3 and 6-1, in one hour and 55 minutes.

In the next round, Sinner will face the winner of the duel between Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, 21st player in the world and semi-finalist in 2014, and Austrian Sebastian Ofner (165th).
